Thank you! I'm fascinated by movieverse Jean and how little agency she gets in her own life, and how hard the other women fight to make their own decisions.

To be honest, I got most of the way through writing this fic (to the section about Ororo telling Jean to choose) before realising that all but one of the main characters were women! I really enjoy being in a fandom where there's so many important female characters that writing a whole fic full of them is not just possible but easy.
