Happy birthday to Chew!

What a fine 12-year-old kitty who still gets the zooms at least twice a day!

For his birthday I got him a glitter ball from under the couch where he had put it, and he greatly enjoyed the rediscovery.

A lost toy rediscovered is more fun than a new one! What's his name? He's a very handsome birthday boy.

He had put it back under something by this morning! His full name is Chewbacca, but we mostly call him Chewie or Chew. He is named after the wookiee because of his tremendously loud bellowing!

When I was a teenager, I had a cat who was part-Siamese. You wouldn't know it, as she was all black; but you could tell her momma's heritage in her yowls. Or war cries at shut doors, more like. It was especially funny when she was a kitten...so much noise from such a tiny thing!
