X-Men drabble update

A tiny, tiny drabble for x_men100. It's very light. Fluffy, even.


Character: Stryfe



Vengeance had a way of coming home. Stryfe had moved his base halfway across a continent and travelled via an untraceable series of stealthy teleports and yet he could not escape it.

That last battle with Cable had brought the roof down on his base and the place had been left in flames. Stryfe had assumed that no-one but a powerful mutant could survive.

Vengeance, however, was here at his door, purring eagerly and only slightly singed.
“Good kitty,” Stryfe mumbled, picking up Vengeance and stroking the tiny calico cat’s furry belly. He really hoped Cable never heard about this.
