Having a broken wrist, even my non-dominant hand, is super annoying. And having a cast means no swimming which means my arthritic SI joint is kicking up a fuss. Lots of wobbly stretches and heatpacks at the moment. On the positive side, I went to the fracture clinic and the bone remains perfectly in place, so no surgery needed, there are no signs of osteoporosis, and five more weeks in the cast should fix everything. My osteoporosis worry is because I had TSH medically suppressed for 12 years due to the thyroid cancer, which can affect bone density, and because my mother has serious osteoporosis. Then again, we are very different builds - she's tiny and delicate, I'm a big chonker and I haven't been under the 64kg risk threshold since I was about eleven

In better news, baby lizards have emerged! The daisy is about 1cm across for scale.

I've been finding lots of red-backed salamanders lately.

Wee lizards!

I'm glad the healing is going well, as much as a pain as it sounds like it is.

All the best people are having fractures this season. Hope it gets less frustrating shortly (and thank you for the reminder that I need to go and get my vitamin D and thyroid checked).

Also, yay! Mini lizards!!!

BABY LIZARDS!

Good luck with the rest of the healing. That sounds frustrating and painful even though it sounds like it's healing up well.

Oof, that does sound annoying but hope healing progress continues without too much troubles.

Aww, what cute lizards. I can't wait to see grass again in a few... months! C'mon spring.
