Things of Happiness

1. It's not only raining but hailing and thundering! Winter is as good as here!

2. [livejournal.com profile] junediamanti has posted an awesomely detailed analysis of Snape's behaviour in the Spinner's End chapter of HPB. And [livejournal.com profile] ithiliana wrote the be-all and end-all essay to refute the irritating "d00d! You're making them all gay!" argument. I'm basking in their intelligence.

3. After four courses of antibiotics, my combination sinusitis/tonsillitis is leaving me. Perhaps not coincidentally, after many hours of pottering (aka research), my [livejournal.com profile] comica_obscura fic was written in one great six-hour-long burst today.

4. Our downloading problem were not due to technical incapability, but the fault of a bad modem. Replaced, we are now downloading Doctor Who with delight.

5. The Christmas Invasion was tremendous fun. Spoiler )

6. I had a surprising haircut which, as it is a cute and curly bob, makes me look like a 1950's schoolgirl. All I need to do is hold my old hockey stick and wear a tunic. [livejournal.com profile] st_aurafina has taken to calling me "Enid". I've never aspired to be cute and plucky, but apparently I am now.

7. Speaking of [livejournal.com profile] st_aurafina, we have made delicious honey mustard, pea and corn sausage rolls which are baking in the oven and making the house smell delicious.

8. The cold weather has made the cats become friends. Sometimes they run around and fight, but sometimes they run around and play, then they go to sleep snuggled up together.

Eight is lucky, that's enough.
