A) People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blog and replace any question that they dislike with a new, original question.
B) Tag eight people. Aussies and Kiwis, consider yourself tagged, if you're interested.

Make a list of 5 things you can see without getting up? Baggins (big silver cat), Chewie (chunky chocolate point cat), [livejournal.com profile] st_aurafina trying to read and being attacked by said cats, lots of books, a bra hanging on the sewing machine waiting to have the band fixed.

How do you style your hair? Medium length wavy bob, which pretty much styles itself. Sometimes I put a hairclip or bobby pin on one side. I don't use any styling products because I'm sensitive to chemical smells and don't really need to anyway.

What are you wearing now? Bike shorts! Very light T-shirt! Underwear! It's too hot for real clothes.

Who was the last person you said 'I Love You' to? Lovely Baggins, the big, loving, dorky cat, after hearing a terrible story about my brother's friend losing her beloved ferrets to a supposed friend's abuse and neglect.

Do you nap a lot? I'm a terrible napper - I would much rather sleep 8-9 hours at night.

Who was the last person you hugged? [livejournal.com profile] st_aurafina, but it's too hot to hug anyone right now.

What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction? I'm really enjoying Leverage, though I'm not terribly into the fandom, probably because the show itself is such tremendous fun.

What would you most love to be doing right now? Watching rain fall all the way across the state, from here to Mallacoota, drowning the fires that are *still* out of control in the central north and east of Victoria. It would help with the drought, too. And the incessant, though not yet destructive, heat.

What was the last text message you received?
What was the last genuinely beautiful thing you saw? (One for the visual people!) The tiny white flowers on our capsicum plant - they're pure white against the vibrant, shiny green of the plant, and look like cartoons of flowers, with little jagged edges, all one colour.

What websites do you always visit when you go online? I can almost copy [livejournal.com profile] looleebelle's answer here! The Age, LJ, and the CFA current incident summary page. I'm in Region 6, if you ever check it out, though incidents in Region 5 and Region 7 could affect me.

What was the last thing you bought? The last thing on the receipt from last week's shopping is...garlic chi! Tasty in curry and dipping sauce!

What would you like to be listening to right now? Rain. Not growling koalas and possums or the ever-barking dog, anyway.

What's the last song that got stuck in your head? I deliberately get Paper Planes by M.I.A. stuck in my head to ward off earworms that I don't want. The last earworm that I didn't want was that Shel Silverstein unicorn song. [livejournal.com profile] st_aurafina had vague childhood memories of being told that the unicorns became extinct when they didn't get on Noah's Ark, so I found the song in question to prove that it was a song, not a religious philosophy (I hope).

If you could have any superpower, what would it be? I keep thinking I'd like something really heroic - saving people from fires and floods, or drought, or poverty - but then there's so much responsibility to go with that. Can I donate my superpower to someone who can deal with that kind of power and truly help people? Then again, Doug Ramsay's power - the ability to understand languages, including mathematics and codes, would be wonderful, if it was a genuine understanding, as Doug had, and not a Babelfish power, which would be handy but sort of embarrassing.

What is your favorite weather, and why? Rainy, cold, wet winter, where everyone has mud up to their knees and talks in hushed voices about that time there was snow, 20 years ago.

If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play? I could play the piano and the cello, though even if I'd kept up with it, I wouldn't be able to now - psoriatic arthritis has done exciting things to the little finger and ring finger of my left hand, plus both thumbs. I loved playing both, and I was pretty happy with that. I would like to have had the persistence to get a really nice vibrato on the cello, though.

How are you? Having a rare run of insomnia, so very grumpy and a bit stupid.

What's something you'd like to say to someone right now? Well, I'm happy to listen to the people I like, and just want to hide from the morons and the arrogant bastards, so no. Nothing that would do any good.

Your dream career? More books, less people? I don't think it exists.
