Meet the Claw!

st_aurafina eventually persuaded me to buy a gripping stick. It's absolutely terrific when I'm dizzy and prone to dropping things. It can pick up anything up to about the weight of a shoe: a piece of paper I dropped, my socks, a power board so that I can plug in the computer, the cat's toy that he wants me to throw for him. I can also change a DVD with the Claw. As soon as I used it, I was totally converted - I feel rather stupid for not getting one earlier. When I'm already dizzy, it means I won't fall over. If I'm not dizzy, I get to save my "moving my head" spoons for when I really need it. Also, it can pinch bums (so gently!) and startle cats. It came just in time, because it's been a hot week and hot=extra dizzy.
