lilacsigil: 12 Apostles rocks, text "Rock On" (12 Apostles)

Typed one-handed with help from a concerned elderly cat, please forgive typos.

I tripped on a rucked up mat at the doorway of the fruit and veg shop and took a dive onto their flower stand. I have a small gash on my head but also, it turns out after several hours at the hospital, a broken wrist. It does not currently need surgery but I have to go to the fracture clinic in Geelong some time next week for further assessment. Everyone at the hospital was lovely, professional and helpful, which was a huge relief, but the nurses had to try to coordinate care with the specialists in Geelong who kept just forgetting about their calls. The nurses were extremely patient but also followed up relentlessly (it didn't help that it was the first week for new registrars and they didn't know how to work their systems). [personal profile] st_aurafina now has to do everything because I am in full plaster with strict instructions on keeping the arm raised to prevent inflammation and lower the likelihood of surgery. It's not terribly painful but it is exhausting and very annoying.

More annoying, the timing meant I couldn't get to a telehealth appointment with my gastro and the clinic is scrambling to reorganise because I have one restricted auto-immune-related medication which can only be precribed by him after an assessment (it's a mAb) and we have to leave time for Medicare to approve it. But the clinic is good and they are doing their best, so it should be okay.
