It's that [livejournal.com profile] yuletide time of year again, and this year I've cut my offered fandoms from a nail-biting 42 to a slightly worrying 30. With experience and hard-won common sense on my side, I made sure this time that I had the source material for every fandom I offered! Not for me the dash to Target and the fight through a knee-high wave of screaming toddlers to find the Elektra DVD! I'm pretty happy with the fandoms I've offered, but I'm waiting for last year's terror of "OMG! I volunteered Connie Willis's hilarious time-travelling Victoriana novel To Say Nothing of the Dog! That's my assignment for sure, and then I'm doomed!" (No, I didn't get that one!)

I requested: From Hell (any character), Temeraire (Catherine Harcourt, Jane Roland, Emily Roland and Lily) with a note to say any of the above were fine, Sandman (Lady Johanna Constantine, John Constantine or Bast). Then, since there was a fourth request, I found my fingers, much to my horror, inputting Anita Blake (Anita, Edward, Larry, Ronnie) and asking for gen fic. Oh yes. Gen. I'm sure someone else out there really wants to write all that good stuff that was in the early books. I just hope that I'm matched with them!
