Iron Man/Captain America is one of the fill-in comics commissioned when Civil War #6 was running late. It's written by Christos Gage and drawn by Jeremy Haun and Mark Morales. Mr Gage, I don't know who you are, but you have a better idea of these two characters and the ethics of the so-called Civil War than any other writer.

The entire comic is a conversation between Captain America and Iron Man, as each tries to convince the other that their side of the registration battle is right - they talk politics, history, Avengers history, personal secrets and discuss the people who have joined each side. It's emotionally draining to read, but that's just a sign of the quality of the writing and research that's gone into this.

If you're disappointed with Civil War, I highly recommend this comic. If you're enjoying Civil War, this will only add depth to the battles. And if you're an Avengers fan who doesn't have a clue about what's going on, here's a great, single-issue catch-up. I only wish that the love and respect for the characters that's poured into this one-shot could have informed the Big Event itself. It would have been a great improvement.
