Well, I've signed up for
yuletide with four requests and forty-one different fandoms I will write in. I originally winnowed out 115 fandoms I could write, but I had to cut it down. It's not so much that I have forty-one burning ideas for stories as much as these forty-one had interesting lacunae in them - space to spin the fanfic. Some of the 115 were eliminated for purely practical reasons: I wrote The Real Ghostbusters hurt/comfort fanfic plays when I was 10, but I haven't watched it since then and don't have the tapes or the memory to cope!
I think it's a good thing for me that the internet wasn't around then, and I instead wrote my plays in coloured texta (different colour for each character, and stage directions in pink) on used computer paper my dad brought home from work. The mocking of obviously young writers and their Mary Sues troubles me immensely, and I really hope they don't know and/or care. I know I wouldn't have liked it.
