A links post from
snowynight led me to the etsy shop Weelittlestitches and their geeky cross stitch patterns. Since it's (finally) getting colder and it's rather pleasant to sit and stitch with a blanket on my lap, I'm now sewing their Superhero Alphabet on an alphabet block afghan (i.e. the alphabet runs around the edge). I'll post the completed squares as they happen! (I'll be revising the pattern to swap Hal Jordan for John Stewart, though - no way Hal Jordan is getting on anything I make!)

In other news, if you happen to be drugging your cat and accidentally put a finger in her mouth, she may very well inflict a deep bite on your finger. If this happens, go to the doctor! I did, am now on antibiotics and four days later can type and sew again, though I can't comfortably hold a pen. Aeon (who bit me) was very upset, but I don't know if it's because she's usually such a protective cat or because I taste awful.

I'm not sure there are any good endings to that sentence...
Have you developed any amazing catlike superpowers? She asked, hopefully.

And props for rejecting Hal Jordan because that is the only right and proper thing to do. I'm actually really excited to see how this turns out.
