Hello, lovely author! Thank you for writing a fic for me! I've written a fair bit here, but it's all guidelines - if there's a story you really want to tell that doesn't fit the details in this letter, I trust you to write it in a way that's right for the story. If you've signed up for one of my other fandoms but are having doubts, the total canon for Problems is less than 4 minutes long and can be found online here. In every fandom, I've chosen my very favourite characters as a starting point, but please don't feel obliged to write all (or indeed any) of them if you have a different idea.
Things I like in fic: all characters having agency and purpose: everyone should be a character in their own right. I love plotty genfic, but also fic about relationships (any gender/s) that anchor or propel the plot. Fic that looks at the underpinnings of the fictional universe, including fic about OCs or very minor characters in that universe, is always a favourite of mine. I like historical and local detail, but I'm not going to cry if something is changed in service of the story!
Things I don't like in fic: sexy rape, sexy or "necessary" torture, incest, adult/child or teacher/student sexual relationships (even when the student is an adult). Plots that would be easily resolved if two people just talked to each other for five minutes are not my favourites. BDSM is not my thing at all, and I don't like it when characters are embarrassed or humiliated. I also have a phobia of zombies and of apocalyptic fic (rebuilding far, far in the future is okay), so please don't write me either of those.
Captain Britain and MI:13
So ridiculous, so seriously heroic. My favourite characters are Faiza (Excalibur) and Jacqueline (Spitfire) but I love the whole damn lot of them. Even Captain Midlands. I would love a fic about their adventures, or their downtime, or sniping at each other when they're meant to be working. I'd love to see them fight an invasion, or play cricket, or protect visiting dignitaries from magical terrorists, or battle a former friend or teammate.
While this all sounds very gen – and I love genfic – I would be just as happy to see something like how Spitfire and Blade manage a vampire/vampire-hunter relationship or Faiza telling Dane "don't mention thewar Crusades!" every time he meets her parents. Splitting up or ignoring canon relationships is totally fine. A crossover with other Marvel characters would be fun, too – I'm a particular fan of the assorted X-Men teams and of course Excalibur, but I have a pretty broad (and entirely flexible!) knowledge of Marvel canon if you want someone else to pop over for a visit. AUs would also be fun, but only if they're not apocalyptic.

One of the many, many things I loved about this book were the queer and otherwise unconventional relationships. I would particularly like to read about Aunt Charlotte and Barnes, "practically the Ladies of Llangollen", but I'd love fic about any of the characters and their friendships, relationships and all the other ways they rely on each other to get through their troubled times.
This series being in Sophie's voice was wonderful, but I'd love to see more of what was going on around her. The characters' relationships are so complex and they are changed so much by their exile and later by WWII that I would really be happy with reading more of any of them. If possible, I would prefer that the fic doesn't entirely focus on any of the character deaths, but mentioning them or setting the fic post-series is fine. I would also love fics about the things we didn't get to see: Veronica's missions in Spain, Henry at school or as a Wren, Aunt Charlotte's journey to England as a young woman, Simon's job during the war...any of these would be wonderful.
Problems
There are so many questions in this song and video. Answer me some of them, or spin off into another world completely. My only real request is that you don't write an apocalypse scenario. Summer moustaches!
This video is full of weird and strange tangents, from the skull marimba to the detention centre, from the case of money to the giant heads. I would love you to write about whatever catches your eye or ear. Crossovers with fandoms I know are very welcome - please feel free to ask
st_aurafina if you're not sure if I'm in a fandom.

I really enjoyed the conspiracy angles of the story, and the impact of that on ordinary lives. The ordinary life I'm most fascinated by – and the one we saw the least – is Amber's. I would love to see more of her – why did she go to school, what relationship does she have with her mother, how does she feel about her life and her "assignment"? If Amber's story doesn't catch your fancy, though, I'd love to see more of this world, whether it's the conspiracy to hide the crashed planes, the competition between Project Plato and Project Blue Box, the medicine and technologies that have developed and what this means for the world, why the Canadian and Mexican governments worked so closely with the US government, or even the decision to help Reese and David after the car crash.
So many good things in this book! As is the case for Lo's other books, the focus on one character's story leaves huge space to be explored. We hardly got to see what went on with the planes grounded and the riots, or the long research cooperation with the aliens. I loved the way the teenage characters got to develop their identities under the harsh focus of physical and mental danger, and would be happy to read more about any of them. I nominated Amber because – as she was pushed away by Reese – we got to see the least of her and her true feelings, so she's the one I'd like to read about most, but if you would rather write worldbuilding, that would be awesome! I found the adult characters fascinating too, as they tried to balance their work and their sanity with the big events going on – especially Reese's mother, Dr Brand and Dr Singh – so feel free to use their more informed viewpoints if you prefer!
