With 1 hour and 33 minutes to go, that's the closest I've ever cut it! But not only did I get the word count, I managed to actually finish the story.

I wrote an adventure story set in late Edo Period Japan, with some slight historical alterations like a small number of female samurai (or, in the case of one of my characters, female ronin). It was a lot of fun, my hands are exhausted, and since we had the first extremely hot day of summer yesterday (even though it's not summer) my entire body has the twitches, which really didn't help with the sitting still and concentrating aspects of writing. Still, I think I'll write historical again, because the research is so much fun!

Now, on to Yuletide!

Congratulations! I'm in such awe of NaNo word counts and discipline. I hope the twitching abates soonly.
