There's so many characters on Once Upon a Time, all starting with archetypes and then breaking out - or failing to break out - of those definitions. I wanted to make something that featured the ensemble nature of the show and thought about making a fabric book with a page for each character. Instead, the idea of the characters as both characters and archetypes stuck with me, so I decided to make a dice with one main character for each face. Roll the dice, see which archetype you get!
This was also part of my "use what you have in the craft stash" quest: the only things I bought were Emma's sword ($1.50) and a piece of brown felt for Regina's tree ($1.25). I felt pretty good about that, though the stash doesn't seem to have decreased! Thanks to
The dice: assorted fabrics with polyfill

Belle, from Beauty and the Beast: printed silk with applique, embroidery and stamping

Cora, the Queen of Hearts: stamped silk with applique

Ruby, Little Red Riding Hood: Applique and crazy quilting

Snow/Mary Margaret, from Snow White: Crazy quilting, embroidery and ribbon

Emma, who has to save them: Applique, ribbon and charms

Regina, the Evil Queen from Snow White: Applique and beaded lace

Congrats on the dice. I particularly like Ruby's side.
