The Federal election has been called and thankfully it's soon: September 7th. Then maybe whichever asshole wins can take a little break from explaining exactly how we have to brutalise refugees this week (but only the ones that come on boats! The motion of the ocean turns them into evil sea monsters and they'll use us all for toothpicks! If they come by plane that's just fine.)

I can't decide whether to ask the Greens if it's too late for me to help them campaign, or whether to build a bunker under my bed and hide there with the cats and without Twitter or Facebook until it's all over.

I vote "hide". OTOH I donated some money to the Greens when the new refugee policy was announced and that did make me feel a little better.

Yeah, mine too, but I really wish that the Langer Vote was still allowed so that I could vote 1 Greens and 2 everyone else*.

*Actually, I'd probably put Family First and One Nation at the bottom, but I don't know if we're getting any candidates this year.
